First and foremost, it is important to ensure that the vehicle is parked in a flat position away from traffic.
Tip: When traffic is heavy, you need to turn on the emergency light or double flash.
Then, support material is placed in front of and behind the tire and it will not be lifted to prevent rolling and increase stability.
Next, see the owner's manual for spare tires and jacks.
Now, refer to the owner's manual to ensure that the jacks are properly positioned to prevent damage to the vehicle.
Start the jack, while maintaining ground pressure (not to lift the vehicle all up)
Remove the hubcap or center cap to reveal the hub nut.
Use a wrench to loosen the nut counterclockwise.
After ensuring that the jacks are stable, lift the vehicle a sufficient distance to facilitate removal of the tires.
Put the spare tire on the wheel and put the hub nut back in place.
Use a wrench to turn the nut clockwise.
Tip: Make sure the nuts are tightened but do not use excessive force. It may cause the vehicle to disengage from the jack.
After traveling a few kilometers, it is best to stop and check to make sure the nut is still tight.
